Ripley nabs three honors in 2YSIDA Digital Design Contest

Kris Ripley With a record 294 submissions from nearly 50 different institutions across all three factions of the 2YSIDA (Two-Year College Sports Information Directors of America) landscape (NJCAA, CCCAA, NWAC), Cowley College digital content creator Kris Ripley recently received recognition for his stellar work.

Ripley has been a full-time employee at the college since March 2010. He has been the recipient of numerous awards during his time at Cowley. Through the 2YSIDA Digital Design Contest, Ripley placed second out of 26 submissions in the Game Day Graphic category, fifth out of 45 submissions in the Poster category, and ninth out of 115 submissions in the Social Media Graphics category.

"It feels great to be recognized by the 2YSIDA and to represent Cowley College marketing and Tiger athletics," Ripley said. "Tiger athletics has always been a passion of mine since I was a student here. It has been a true blessing to work with all the athletes and coaches over the years. Elevating the brand and experience here has been so much fun."

Abby Morris, Cowley College's director of marketing, believes Ripley has taken the college's institutional branding to new heights in his 16 years at Cowley College.

"His digital design capabilities began in Cowley's own graphic design department, so he truly understands what being a part of the Cowley Family is like, and it translates in his work," Morris said. "Tiger Athletics represents a significant piece of this institution, and as the media resources of the college have improved, so has Kris' ability to showcase the student-athletes, their stories, and the program's accomplishments."
