Bio

Brock Buckingham returned to Cowley College for a second stint as an assistant baseball coach during the 2011 season. Buckingham previously was an assistant coach for the Tigers during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He was a volunteer assistant with the team in 2004.

In his 15 seasons as an assistant coach at Cowley, Buckingham has helped the Tigers win 632 games, capture nine Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division titles, and qualify for the JUCO World Series five times.

Prior to his first coaching stint at Cowley, he served as a student assistant at Arkansas State University. Before returning to coaching, he spent the previous four years working in sales in Wichita.

Buckingham was a middle infielder for the Cowley baseball team in 1999 and 2000. He then transferred to Arkansas State University, where he played for two years.

After graduating from Arkansas State, Buckingham played one year of baseball for the Winnipeg Gold Eyes. He received a Master’s Degree of Science in Leadership from Southwestern College.

Buckingham was also an All-State baseball player and the Southwest Missouri Player of the Year during his senior year at McDonald County High School in Anderson, Mo.

He and his wife, Jessica, have two sons, Briggs and Brent, and a daughter, Brynn.
