Cheer and dance teams do well at nationals; Tank named national champion!

The Cowley College spirit teams attended the College Classic National Invitational April 9-11 in Orlando, Florida.

The cheer team finished as the first runner-up in the college coed cheer division, while the Tigerette dance team competed in two divisions, placing second runner-up in Team Performance and first runner-up in Pom.

Less than half a point (.22) separated Cowley from the first place team in the Pom division.

A highlight of the competition was Tank the Tiger mascot (Andrew Burgos) being named National Champion in the college mascot division. The teams are coached by Lindsay Sanderholm and Holli Rowe.
