Coming off eighth-place national finishes, the Cowley College men’s and women’s cross country teams were recently recognized for excellence in the classroom as they were named All-Academic Teams for the 2024 season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Led by sophomore Miquel Cruz and freshman Esteban Boisseau garnering All-American honors, the Cowley College men’s cross country team placed eighth at the NJCAA Division II National Championships held on Saturday in Richmond, VA.

Fresh off capturing region titles, the Cowley College men’s and women’s cross-country teams recently took off from Arkansas City to compete at the NJCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday in Richmond, VA.

Cowley Community College won the NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 Men’s Cross Country Championship as the best-finishing team of the three NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 men’s teams that participated in the meet.

In anticipation of the region and conference meet on October 25, the Cowley College men’s and women’s cross country teams hosted the Tiger Preview on Saturday morning at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield.

Competing in the Prairie Section of the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival on Saturday in Fayetteville, AR, Cowley College sophomore Miquel Cruz won the men’s 8K race with a time of 25:51. Cruz helped the Tiger men place fifth out of 25 teams at the meet, while the Lady Tigers finished sixth out of 23 schools.

Competing for the first time in two weeks and only the second time this season, the No. 6-ranked Cowley College men’s cross-country team was among 26 schools running on Saturday at the 34th annual Greeno/Dirksen Invitational held at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, NE.

The nationally ranked Cowley College cross-country teams started their 2024 campaign at the 76th Annual JK Gold Classic held Saturday in Wichita, KS.

With an exciting mix of returning athletes and talented freshmen, the Cowley College men’s cross country team is eager to show fans of the program the work they have put in over the summer as the team will host a pair of meets in the 2024 season.
