Bio

Tanner Brock begins his fifth season as Cowley men's and women's assistant soccer coach. Brock helped the Tiger men win a school-record 18 games during the 2021 season, while the Lady Tigers captured its third straight conference title and finished the season with a record of 15-1-2.

Prior to last season’s success, year two with Brock as an assistant led to one of the most successful seasons in the history of the programs. The Tiger men repeated as conference champions, captured its first-ever district title, and won its first-ever game at the national tournament. While, the Lady Tigers won a then school-record 14 games, captured its first-ever conference title and won its first-ever playoff game during the 2019 season.

The 2020 season was another successful one for the Tiger soccer teams as both teams captured conference titles and were ranked nationally.

Originally from Winfield, KS he went to Fort Hays State University (FHSU) and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing in 2015. While attending FHSU he was the captain for the Men's Soccer Team and made the Elite Eight of the national tournament in the 2014-2015 season.  During his campaign he was named First Team All-Conference three times, First Team All-Region three times, MIAA Conference Player of the Year in 2014-2015, and Third Team All-America.  Tanner is the all-time leader in games started and minutes played at FHSU.

While attending FHSU he also played semi-pro in both the PDL and NPSL for Midland/Odessa Sockers, Kansas City Brass, and Liverpool Warriors out of Dallas, TX.

Brock and his wife, Alyssa, reside in Arkansas City.
