Cowley tennis teams beat Seward 8-1 in final home matches
With the Region VI Championships this week in Pratt, KS, the nationally ranked Cowley College men’s and women’s tennis teams head into the tournament with loads of confidence as they finished off a perfect 3-0 homestand with 8-1 wins over Seward County on Friday in Arkansas City.

The No. 2-ranked Lady Tigers have won four straight matches against ranked opponents. On Friday, they won all three doubles matches before going 5-1 in singles play.
"It was a great day for us," Cowley head coach Marcel Miasato said. "It showed how consistent our team is."
The Tiger men have won three in a row against ranked foes while also going 3-0 against Seward in doubles before winning five of six singles matches.
"Seward was a tough match, but our entire team played well," Miasato said. "It was great to see that we were able to perform at a high level again, and we are moving in the right direction."
The Tiger tennis teams will play at the Region VI Tennis Tournament at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday in Pratt, KS.
"We are looking forward to the Region Tournament in Pratt," Miasato said.
