Jessi McDowell is a seasoned athlete with a ton of potential. Graduating from Chisholm High School in Enid, Oklahoma, McDowell looks to leave her mark as a freshman at Cowley. She will be competing in the women's shot put, 20-pound weight throw, hammer and discus events.
The Cowley College women’s and men’s track and field teams were led by a combined eight conference champions and four region champs as the Lady Tigers captured the conference title and the men finished second at the Outdoor Region VI/Jayhawk Conference Championships held this past weekend at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Coffeyville, KS.
With sophomores Cierra Gray and Dakota Dapper earning All-American honors, the Cowley College women’s track and field team placed 19th at the indoor championships held Friday and Saturday in Lubbock, TX.
With five conference champions and three region champs, the Cowley College women’s track and field team repeated as conference champions at the Region VI/Jayhawk Conference Indoor Championships held Saturday and Sunday at Pittsburg State University.
