Skierkier and Cole named Cowley College November Athletes of the Month

A pair of talented Cowley College athletes were recently recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom and playing field as sophomores Boruch Skierkier and Maci Cole were recently named Cowley College Male and Female November Athletes of the Month.

Skierkier is a returning All-American for the Tiger tennis team that finished as the national runner-up during the 2022 season. After winning the ITA Cup doubles championship with partner Bruno Nhavene in the fall, the duo is ranked No. 1 nationally in doubles. Skierkier is ranked eighth in the nation in singles.

The business administration major has a 3.62-grade point average.

Cole was named an NJCAA Division II All-American and Freshman of the Year in the conference after batting .486 with 14 home runs, 20 doubles, and 62 runs batted in during the 2022 season. Cole added six triples and 27 stolen bases. Along with playing in the infield, Cole will also see time behind the plate.

The pre-engineering major has a 3.53 GPA.
