Cowley names December Athletes of the Month

Preparing to open their respective seasons, Diego Andres-Dougan and Mariia Koroleva were recently named Cowley College's December Male and Female Athletes of the Month.

Andres-Dougan is a multiple-time All-American and is the current school record holder in the men's triple jump, 110-meter hurdles, and 60-meter hurdles. He placed fourth in the NJCAA Division I Track and Field Outdoor Championship. In the off-season, Andres-Dougan placed first in the 110-meter hurdles at the Team League Finals and finished first in the U20 Spanish Championship.

Koroleva is currently ranked No. 23 in singles and fourth nationally in doubles. She is also ranked No. 1 in the region in doubles. Koroleva, with her doubles partner Isid Hernandez, won the doubles regional championship for the Central Region. The business administration major has a grade point average of 3.28.

Andres-Dougan is majoring in computer science.
