Bio

David Dunbar was a standout multi-sport athlete out of Wichita West High School in 1955. That same year, he was voted Wichita’s Athlete of the Year, the first high school player ever to receive the award.

At Arkansas City Junior College, Dunbar was all-conference in football and basketball, and also was a member of the track team. He went on to Pittsburg State, where he was named Mr. Basketball his senior season. He enjoyed a singing career in Country & Western in the 1960s and 1970s, then began singing gospel in 1975, when he gave his life to Jesus.
