Bio

W.S. Scott was a Tiger, through and through. He compiled and wrote the histories for Cowley football and men’s and women’s basketball. And he was responsible for the championship banners that hang in the building that bears his name, W.S. Scott Auditorium.

The building was renamed in his honor on Dec. 10, 1986. He began his career at Cowley in 1966, and for the next 20 years, he held a variety of titles, from academic dean and registrar, to dean of students.

He was appointed interim president from April 1, 1968, to July 1, 1968, when the college searched for a successor to Paul Johnson.
