Bio

Roybell Baez is preparing to begin his third season as an assistant coach at Cowley College.

Prior to coming to Cowley, he spent the previous season with the Laramie County Golden Eagles men's basketball program, where he helped the squad capture the Region IX regular season title. Prior to that, he spent the previous four seasons as an assistant coach at Western Nebraska Community College. 

While at Western Nebraska, Baez helped the Cougars to their first Region IX title in 17 years and a bid to the NJCAA DI National Tournament while helping nine student-athletes advance onto four-year institutions. Baez helped in all aspects of recruiting while with the Cougars while organizing community service for the WNCC program, and maintaining its social media presence. 

Baez played basketball at Dakota College at Bottineau before transferring to Dickinson State University in North Dakota, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He is a native of Miami, Florida.

He and his wife, Ellie, have three girls, Brooklyn, Braylee, and Nyah.
