Lady Tiger freshman Maci Cole nabs All-American honors

Leading the Cowley College softball team in nearly every single offensive category, freshman shortstop Maci Cole was named an NJCAA Division II All-American.

Cole batted .486 with 14 home runs, 20 doubles, and 62 runs batted in. She added six triples and 27 stolen bases as Cowley finished the season with a record of 38-14.

Lady Tiger head softball coach Jenny Hoyt is proud of Cole and the year she had for the team. 

"She went the extra mile putting in work at the shortstop position and into her hitting," Hoyt said. "This award honors her dedication and hard work. She is so deserving of this honor and I am beyond thankful she is a Cowley Tiger."
