Tori Beltz enters her fourth season as the assistant softball coach at Cowley College. She is coming off her most successful campaign as she helped Cowley capture the conference title and win 40 games for the first time since the 2018 season.

Cowley has a record of 122-59 during Beltz’s time at the school.

Prior to Cowley, Beltz was an assistant softball coach at McPherson College, where she helped lead the Bulldogs to the 2019 KCAC conference title while breaking numerous program records.

During the 2018 season, Beltz assisted at Friends University, where she primarily worked with hitters and infielders. The Falcons led the KCAC in overall batting average, runs per game and RBI while ranking in the top 5 in all other major offensive categories.

After a COVID-shortened season in her first year at Cowley, Beltz helped the Tigers to a No. 17 national ranking, a second-place finish in the Jayhawk Conference, and a record of 34-19.

This past season, she helped Cowley to a No. 14-national ranking and a record of 38-14. The team finished second in the conference with a record of 26-6.

The Rose Hill native graduated in 2016 from Fort Hays State, where Beltz was a four-year letter winner for the Tigers, earning Honorable Mention All-MIAA honors as a first baseman three times during her career.  She was also voted the team’s Most Valuable Player after her junior season.

Beltz ranks high in several career offensive categories at FHSU. She is the career leader in walks with 80, while ranking second in home runs (29), RBI (134), and sacrifice flies (6). She is also second all-time in defensive putouts with 984.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Beltz stayed on staff at FHSU as a graduate assistant for one year. She completed her Master’s Degree in Sports Administration in May 2018.
