Holding Barton County to 31 percent shooting, the Cowley College women's basketball team picked up its first conference win of the season with a 63-52 victory over the Cougars Tuesday night inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.

The victory improves Cowley's record to 5-3 overall and 1-2 in the Jayhawk Conference, while Barton falls to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Barton would not get closer than 11 points in the final quarter as Cowley snapped its three-game skid.
