The Cowley College volleyball team saw two players recognized by the NJCAA as All-Americans. Freshmen Vivianna Solis was selected a first-team All-American, and sophomore Laci Beougher was selected a second-team All-American. The selections brought Cowley’s total All-American award count to 42 honors spread across 31 players. It marks the 19th straight season with an All-American selection.

Seven hours after finishing off a win over 14th-seeded Bismarck State College in its opening match of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament played Thursday in Cedar Rapids, IA, the third-seeded Cowley College volleyball team was upset by sixth-seeded Scottsdale Community College (AZ) 25-20, 25-20, 25-27, 20-25, 16-18.

Leading the conference in assists, Cowley College setter Vivianna Solis was recently named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Eastern Division Freshman of the Year, Setter of the Year, and Most Valuable Player. The Lady Tigers ended up with seven players named All-Conference and All-Region.
