Competing on Sunday at the Cheer and Dance regionals in Newton, KS, the Cowley College Cheer and Dance teams dominated and brought home all four Region VI titles.

Red-hot Trojans sweep series with the Lady Tiger softball team

After dropping a pair of home games against Seminole State College (OK) on Friday, the Cowley College softball team suffered a couple of road defeats while facing the Trojans on Saturday in Seminole, OK. The Lady Tigers dropped Friday’s doubleheader by scores of 7-1 and 8-4 before losing on Saturday by scores of 6-5 and 8-0.

Tigers’ bats go silent in loss of doubleheader at Fort Scott

The tough start to the season for the Cowley College baseball team continued on Saturday, with the Tigers managing only six hits in a pair of losses at Fort Scott. The Greyhounds shut out Cowley 2-0 in the first game before defeating the Tigers 12-5 in the finale as Fort Scott won three of four games in the series.

Cowley suffers heartbreaking 105-104 loss to Butler in District Semifinal

Josiah Kirkwood’s step-back banked-in three-pointer with 1.5 seconds left in Friday’s Plains District semifinal game lifted the No. 2-seed Butler Grizzlies to a 105-104 win over the No. 6-seed Cowley College men’s basketball team. The Tigers finish the season with a record of 20-13, while Butler went on to capture the District title with a win over top-seed Barton in Saturday’s championship game played in Great Bend, KS.
