Displaying a winning mentality in the classroom and on the hardwood, Cowley College sophomore Corey Thomas was recently named the school’s December Male Athlete of the Month.

Thomas stars on the basketball court for the No. 8-ranked Cowley Tigers. He has helped the Tigers to 13 wins in a row, a record of 14-1 overall, and 9-0 in the Jayhawk Conference. Thomas averages 11.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting a team-best 60.2 percent from the floor. The liberal arts major has a grade point average of 2.58.
