Jeff Nwankwo, Men's Basketball

Cowley College basketball player Jeff Nwankwo was recently named Cowley College’s February Male Athlete of the Month.

Nwankwo is coming off a career-high 37-point performance in an 81-65 road win at Butler Community College. The sophomore has scored more than 20 points in six straight contests and has helped the No. 11-ranked Tigers to a record of 26-4 overall. Cowley finished second in the Jayhawk Conference with a record of 21-3 and earned the second seed in the Region VI Playoffs.

Nwankwo averages 18.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. The psychology major has a grade point average of 3.21.
