With the spring sports seasons underway, Cowley College sophomore Shayne Roberts was recently named the school’s January Female Athlete of the Month.

Roberts is the starting centerfielder for the No. 20-ranked Cowley College softball team. After earning Second Team all-conference and all-region honors as a freshman, Roberts leads the Lady Tigers with 12 runs batted in as Cowley has raced out to a record of 8-3.

The liberal arts major has a GPA of 3.49.
