Tiger wrestlers have a rough night in a 34-3 loss at Cloud

Missing a few wrestlers, the Cowley College wrestling team suffered its first conference dual loss of the season in a 34-3 defeat at Cloud County on Wednesday in Concordia, KS.

Cowley's lone win came from heavyweight Stefaan Fearro, who scored a 17-4 major decision win over Cloud's Gavin Nutting. The Tigers were close in several other matches as they suffered four defeats by two points or less.

The Tigers hope to be back at full strength when they participate in the NEO Open on Saturday at 8 a.m. in Miami, OK.

*125 pounds - Beau Murphy (CC)lost by tech fall against Brady Foster (Cloud).

*133 pounds – Double forfeit.

*141 pounds - Ryker Agee (CC) lost by fall against Collin Smith (Cloud).

*149 pounds – Chase Koehler (CC) lost an 8-6 decision to Trace Adkins (Cloud).

*157 pounds – Cowley lost due to forfeit.

*165 pounds – Jacen Jackson (CC) lost a 10-8 decision to Easton Boone (Cloud).

*174 pounds - Daniel Stephens (CC) lost by tech fall to Mac Chambers (Cloud).

*184 pounds - Bryce Goucher (CC) lost an 8-7 decision to Wyatt Powell (Cloud).

*197 pounds - Lewis Caples (CC) lost an 11-9 decision against Darian Gillins (Cloud).

*285 pounds - Stefaan Fearro (CC) won 17-4 over Gavin Nutting (Cloud).
