Manning and Raffin compete at NEO

Competing at the Golden Norsemen Open Saturday in Miami, OK, the Cowley College wrestling team took only a handful of redshirt athletes, along with varsity lettermen Justin Raffin and Kamond Manning.

Manning and Raffin each went 1-2 at the meet, with Manning defeating No. 5-ranked Tyler Stewart of Southeast Community College by a score of 5-1. Raffin's victory came when he pinned Mason Gordon of Carl Albert State College.

"It was good for those guys to get some matches," Cowley head coach Justice Circle said.

Cowley will now prepare to participate in a tri-dual with Northwest Kansas Tech and Pratt on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Goodland, KS.
