Lady Tiger tennis team advances entire lineup to the quarterfinals

Rain or shine, nothing slowed down the top-ranked Lady Tiger tennis team as they got off to a dominating start at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis National Championships on Sunday in Tyler, TX.

After receiving a bye in Saturday's first-round action, the Lady Tigers got victories from all six of its singles players and their three doubles teams.

Despite enduring two rain delays, the Lady Tigers did not drop a set and lost no more than two games in any set during singles play.

"Everyone got the job done and were consistent all day long," Cowley head coach Arianna Raga said. "The girls are going to have to step up their game. I think we were a little nervous today, so we should be more confident tomorrow."

Quarterfinal action at the National Championships will begin at 8 a.m. Monday.
