Fans of Cowley College athletics enjoy All Sports Tiger Tailgate

Members of each of Cowley College's 16 athletic programs were on hand for the community to meet during the All Sports Tiger Tailgate held on Tuesday, August 29, in front of W.S. Scott Auditorium.

Cowley College coaches spoke at the event and had an opportunity to introduce members of their teams.

"I thought the Tiger Tailgate was an enjoyable, fun opportunity for all our student-athletes to come together and be part of an event that promotes a family atmosphere for the entire athletic department," Cowley athletic director Jeff Fluty said. "There is a strong element of family here at Cowley; it's one of the aspects that make us so great. Just as important is to include community members, boosters, and staff to events like this as welcomed participants. I believe it was a great experience for our student-athletes and community members alike."

Those in attendance were treated to free hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments. Yard games were also available.

Cowley College fall sports are underway, with the Tiger women's and men's soccer teams hosting Dodge City on Wednesday, September 6, at 5 and 7 p.m. The No. 5-ranked Cowley College volleyball team will host Allen County Community College on Wednesday, September 6 at 6:30 p.m.
