Bae finishes as national runner-up in six singles, Tigers place fifth

With freshman Juwan Bae finishing as the national runner-up at the NJCAA Division I Tennis Championships in Florence, South Carolina, the Cowley College men’s tennis team placed fifth. Bae advanced to the finals of No. 6 singles before losing a three-set battle against Collin College’s Luke Stula (6-4, 4-6, 2-6). This marks the seventh straight top-five finish at the national tournament for the Tiger men’s tennis team.

Tiger tennis team gets underway at rainy national championships

After rain forced the postponement of day one of the NJCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championships in Florence, South Carolina, the Cowley College tennis team returned to the courts on Tuesday and got wins from four singles players while advancing all three doubles teams to the round of 16.

Hosono, Bae claim region titles; Tiger tennis team places second

The No. 4-ranked Cowley College men’s tennis team got region titles from a pair of singles players. Still, it was not enough as they finished second at the Region VI/Jayhawk Conference Championships played Wednesday and Thursday in Pratt, KS.
