Two of the winningest coaches in the history of Cowley College athletics were recently honored for their accomplishments prior to the 2025 NJCAA Hall of Fame and Awards event held Tuesday, June 17, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The honors continue to roll in for Cowley College softball players Mikah Vann and Taverli Tennant, who were recently named NJCAA Division II All-Americans.
Resuming a game that was halted on Wednesday with Kansas City leading Cowley 1-0 in the top of the fourth inning, the top-seeded Cowley College softball team lost 3-1 to fourth-seed Kansas City Kansas Community College in the second round of the Region VI Tournament played in Overland Park, KS on Thursday. Forced to play an elimination game a few hours later, the Lady Tigers lost to second-seeded Neosho County 3-2 in nine innings.

The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has announced the 2025 KJCCC D2 Softball All-KJCCC teams and winners of the major postseason honors.

Top-seeded Cowley College softball team defeated eighth-seed Highland Community College 8-0 on Tuesday in the First-Round of the Region VI Tournament.

Shutting out Cloud County in both games of a doubleheader played Thursday at Ed Hargrove Field, the No. 20-ranked Cowley College softball team celebrated the conference title on its home field. The Lady Tigers, winners of 15 of their past 16 games, defeated Cloud County 11-0 and 8-0 to finish the regular season with a record of 38-12 and 20-2 in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division.
Two days after sweeping a doubleheader at nationally ranked Kansas City Kansas Community College, the No. 20-ranked Cowley College softball team completed a 4-0 road trip with a pair of wins at 16th-ranked Neosho County on Monday in Chanute, KS. The victories moved the Lady Tigers to one game in front of Neosho County for first place in the Jayhawk East, with only two conference games remaining.

Keeping its conference title hopes alive, the Cowley College softball team pulled out a pair of close wins at Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday. The Lady Tigers got a home run from Taverli Tennant to beat KCK 3-1 in nine innings of game one before scoring a run in the seventh inning of game two to slip past the Blue Devils 2-1.

The Allen Community College softball team continues to play the spoiler role as they dealt the Cowley College softball team a damaging 5-4 loss in the second game of a doubleheader played Thursday at Ed Hargrove Field in Arkansas City. The Lady Tigers won the first game 7-1.

Pounding out 32 hits and 11 extra-base hits on Saturday at Hesston College, the Cowley College softball team ran its win streak to eight games with wins of 16-6 and 14-4.
Led by sophomore Mikah Vann, finishing one strikeout off the school record, the Cowley College softball team swept a doubleheader against Highland by scores of 2-1 and 9-1 on Saturday in Arkansas City.
The Cowley College softball team continued to batter opponents as they moved within one game of first place in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division. The Lady Tigers run-ruled Coffeyville 11-1 and 10-0 on the road on Thursday and have out-scored the opposition 52-3 during its four-game winning streak.
Cowley College sophomore Mikah Vann continued her strong sophomore campaign by tossing a perfect game in the Lady Tiger softball team’s doubleheader sweep of Independence on Monday. Vann struck out six of the 15 batters she retired in Cowley’s 18-0 win of game one before the Tigers won the second road game by a score of 13-2.

In a battle of two of the top teams in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division, the Cowley College softball team split a doubleheader at No. 17-ranked Johnson County on Thursday in Overland Park, KS. The Lady Tigers won the first game 6-2 before losing the nightcap 3-1.
Hosting No. 17-ranked Butler Community College in a doubleheader on Monday at Ed Hargrove Field in Arkansas City, the Cowley College softball team lost a close 3-2 contest in the opening game before losing 13-6 in game two.
Getting a pair of complete game pitching performances, the Cowley College softball team ran its winning streak to six games in a row with wins of 3-0 and 4-2 over Labette on Saturday in Parsons, KS.
