Arredondo named KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week

Cowley College sophomore pitcher Ezra Arredondo was named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Division II Softball Player of the Week after batting .750 in the season's opening week.

In four games, Arredondo went 9-for-12 with three home runs, a triple, a double, seven runs scored, and five runs batted in.  Arredondo had an on-base percentage of .769, as Cowley went 2-2 on the week.

Hesston College pitcher Sydney Jackson was the recipient of the KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week award as the sophomore allowed only one earned run in eight innings pitched. She tossed a complete game in a win over Frank Phillips College.
