Cameron, Fincher named First Team All-Conference selections

Leading their teams in scoring and in several notable categories, Cowley College sophomores Mekhi Cameron of the Tiger men's basketball team and Baylee Fincher, who scored the most points in the history of the Cowley College women's basketball program, were each named First Team All-Jayhawk Conference Selections.

Cameron, who averaged 18.3 points and 3.9 rebounds, finished as the 15^th all-time leading scorer in Tiger history with 971 career points.

"Mekhi is a very deserving player and has worked hard for the recognition he received," Cowley men's head coach Donnie Jackson said. "You will not find someone who is in the gym more than Mekhi."

Cameron has signed to play for the University of Northern Colorado.

Fincher, who finished with 1,186 career points, averaged 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. She was named a First Team All-Conference selection for a second straight season after being named to the Second Team three seasons ago.

"Baylee had a great career here and put up impressive numbers," Cowley women's head coach Todd Clark said. 

Fincher signed with Emporia State University in November.
