Nwankwo named KJCCC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Cowley College sophomore Jeff Nwankwo had a big week for the No. 9-ranked Cowley College men's basketball team. After averaging 31.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.0 steals in the Tigers' two games, Nwankwo was named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

In a battle of Top 25 teams against Hutchinson, Nwankwo had 33 points in a thriller against the Dragons in an 88-86 loss. He followed that performance with 30 points in a 91-81 road win at Colby.  He did all this while shooting 61 percent from the field and 64 percent from 3-point range.
