With the departure of former Cowley College assistant soccer coach Tanner Brock, the Tiger soccer teams knew they had to find a replacement with the amount of knowledge that Brock had. The Cowley soccer coaches believe they have found the right person for the job by hiring Eusebio “Chevi” Plaza.

Coach Chevi spent the last nine years providing goalkeeping training for each of Sporting Wichita’s soccer teams. Coach Chevi has also coached boy’s teams across all levels, from U12 to U18, and excels at organization and innovative training sessions.

His extensive experience and expertise will be beneficial to the Tiger soccer teams.

“Chevi (Eusebio) is a top goalkeeper coach whom I have had the pleasure to work with previously,” Cowley head men’s soccer coach Ruy Vaz said. “He is a true hard-working coach and an amazing human being. His expertise in goalkeeping brings something different to our program, and we can't wait to start this journey together.”

Plaza looks forward to working with the Cowley men’s and women’s soccer teams.

“I am excited to work with the other coaches at Cowley and continue the growth in my coaching career,” Plaza said. “Cowley has great soccer programs, and I am proud to be a Tiger.”
