
Tiger men finish 22nd at indoor track and field championships
Led by three All-Americans, the Cowley College men's indoor track and field team placed 22nd at
the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships held Friday and Saturday at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
The South Plains (TX) men won the 2025 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship, its ninth in program history and fourth in the last five years. The Texans finished the meet with 119.5 points and were the only team to score more than 100+ points. New Mexico and Iowa Western rounded out the top three. Defending champion Indian Hills (IA) and Odessa (TX) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Tigers placed 22nd with 5.5 points and were led by Victor Morfin (high jump), Dagen Geier (pole vault), and Alex Delgado del Castillo (heptathlon), earning All-American honors.
"We scrapped for any point we could get," Cowley head coach Cameron Rieth said.
The Tiger track and field teams will open the outdoor season on Thursday in Coffeyville prior to hosting the Mark A. Phillips Tiger Open on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m.

*1,000-meter run – Alexis Realland, 2:32.47, 13th.
*3,000-meter run – Esteban Boisseau, 9:02.79, 25th.
*5,000-meter run – Esteban Boisseau, 15:43.05, 15th.
*High jump – Victor Morfin, 6-8 ¾, fifth. All-American.
*Pole vault – Dagen Geier, 14-8 ¾, eighth, All-American.
*Long jump – Ranaldo Hanna, 23-10 ¾, 12th.
*Shot put – Brett Clevenger, 48-3 ¾, 12th; Cooper Leonard, 44-1 ½, 18th.
*Weight throw – Michael Hesseltine, 45-8 ½, 21st.
*Heptathlon – Alex Delgado del Castillo, 4,741, eighth, All-American.
