Bio

Having amassed over 200 wins coaching Kansas High School basketball, Vance Lee begins his first season as an assistant coach at Cowley College.

Lee began his coaching career at Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, where he was the sophomore boys head coach and an assistant coach for the varsity. He went on to high school coaching stops at Skyline, Chase Rural, Trinity Catholic, Maize South, Maize, Bishop Carroll, St. Johns-Beloit, White City, Chase, and again at Trinity High School in Hutchinson, where he led the team to a pair of league championships and a state tournament appearance during his 11 years at the school.

He also served as an assistant boys basketball coach at Pratt Community College from 1995-1997.

Lee was named Coach of the Year three times during his 20-plus years of coaching high school basketball.

Before getting into coaching, Lee played basketball at Pratt Community College and St. Mary of the Plains College.

He and his wife, Kelly, have a son, Brennon, and another son, Wakon, who is married to Maddi Lee.
