Tiger wrestlers entertain home fans with a pair of victories

Taking part in its lone home duals of the season, the No. 25-ranked Cowley College wrestling team gave the home fans plenty to cheer about by defeating Colby 42-6 and Neosho 38-12 in a tri-dual held Wednesday inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.

Cowley won eight of 10 matches against Colby before taking seven of 10 matches against Neosho. The Tigers' Aidan O'Dell, Jacen Jackson, Chance Davis, Daniel Stephens, and Stefaan Fearo each won by either fall or tech fall in their matches against Colby and Neosho. Overall, Cowley scored bonus points in 13 of the 19 matches wrestled.

"We wrestled well," Cowley head coach Justice Circle said. "It was a great environment in W.S Scott Auditorium."

Next Wednesday, Cowley will return to action when they travel to take on Cloud County in a dual beginning at 6 p.m. in Concordia, KS.

"Things are starting to click for our guys in this final stretch of the season," Circle said.
