Bio

Austin Legg began coaching as an assistant coach in 2013 at Tonkawa (OK) High School. During his year at the school, the team finished as state runner-up. He was then hired as the assistant wrestling coach in 2015 at Blackwell (OK) High School, where he coached for three years, winning multiple district titles and finishing in the top 5 multiple years in the state as a team. He also coached three multi-state champions and had over 24 state qualifiers in his three years at Blackwell.

In 2018, he was hired as the head coach for Pawhuska High School, where he led the Huskies to multiple team academic honors along with over 20 state qualifiers and two state runner-ups and sent five wrestlers to wrestle at the collegiate level.

While at Pawhuska High School, he started a girl’s wrestling program in 2019, where he led the Huskies to their first girl's state placer, finishing 2nd in 2020. In his eight years of coaching high school. Legg had over 40 state qualifiers, three multi-state champions, and five state runner-ups and sent 10 wrestlers to wrestle at the collegiate level.

Legg began his wrestling career at Ponca City High School, where he was a four-time state qualifier, two-time state finalist, state champion, and one-time All-American.

He continued his wrestling career at Labette Community College under Joe Renfro where the team captured two national titles.

Legg holds a Bachelor's degree in Science in Organizational Leadership.
