Trio of Lady Tiger soccer players sign with four-year schools

Three Cowley College women's soccer players, all named First Team all-conference performers during the 2023 season, recently signed letters of intent to continue their soccer careers and education at four-year schools.

Midfielder Nanaka Inaba (six goals, nine assists), goalkeeper Kanon Dehama (five shutouts, 1.15 goals against average), and forward Lucia Rivas (10 goals, four assists) helped lead the Lady Tiger soccer team to its first-ever district title and victory at the national tournament and will now attempt to do the same at their new schools.

Inaba signed with NCAA Division I Jacksonville State University in Alabama, Dehama signed with NCAA Division II Lincoln University in Missouri, and Rivas signed with NCAA Division I Southern Utah, where she will join fellow Lady Tiger soccer player Laura Pouedras.

"It is hard to describe what these young ladies have done for the program," Cowley head coach Roberto dos Santos said. "They are each excellent on the field and in the classroom. I am happy to see each of them move on to good schools."
