Three more Lady Tiger soccer players sign with four-year schools
Having helped the Cowley College women's soccer team qualify for its first-ever national tournament appearance, a trio of Lady Tiger soccer players hope to make the same impact at their new schools as they recently signed letters of intent to play with four-year schools.
Forward Berta Borrell (four goals, three assists) signed with NCAA Division II Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina. Fellow forward Ada Ronnemaa (one goal, one assist) signed with NAIA school Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN. And, midfielder Sara Espinosa (five goals, one assist) signed with NAIA school Georgia Gwinnett College in Atlanta, GA.
"I am excited for these ladies," Cowley head coach Roberto dos Santos said. "They will represent their new institution with the same dedication and pride they have done at Cowley College. They are each great individuals, students, and athletes."
These three ladies were instrumental in Cowley capturing its first-ever region title as the squad advanced to the national tournament's semifinals.
"All three are proud members of the great chapter written this season for our soccer program," dos Santos said.
