Suzuki named player of the week

Scoring five goals in a pair of wins by the No. 14-ranked Cowley College women's soccer team, sophomore forward Hina Suzuki was recently named the Jayhawk Conference Division 1 Player of the Week.

After scoring two goals in a 5-2 win over Garden City, Suzuki added a hat trick on the road at Seward County as part of a 5-3 Cowley win. The conference's leading scorer, Suzuki, ranks 18th nationally in goals (12) and 25th in points with 25, along with four game-winning goals, which ranks sixth.
