Suzuki named a First Team All-American
Scoring 19 goals in 21 games, Cowley College sophomore Hina Suzuki was recently named a NJCAA Division I First Team All-American soccer selection.
Suzuki. Who was previously named the Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Year, added five assists and a team-high 43 points as the Lady Tiger soccer team advanced to the national tournament for the second straight season.
"This is a great honor for Hina," Cowley head coach Roberto dos Santos said. "Hina has been reliable and a huge part of our program. I am happy for her and excited for the next step in her college career."
Suzuki joins Nanaka Inaba as the only First Team All-American selections in the history of the Lady Tiger soccer program.
