
Dapper and Anchike named KJCCC Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
Cowley College sophomore pole vaulter Dakota Dapper and Cloud County runner N Vanee Anchike were recently named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Week 3 Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Dapper, the Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, cleared a national qualifying mark in the pole vault and won the Mark A. Phillips Tiger Open with a mark of 11-feet-eight inches. The mark currently ranks second in the NJCAA this season and is the third-best mark in the history of the Cowley track and field program.
Anchike, the Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, broke the Cloud County record in the 1,500 meters, winning the Mark A. Phillips Tiger Open with a time of 4:31.17. The time currently ranks second in the NJCAA this season.
