Bio
Coach's Comments: "Katie brings a strong middle hitter presence to the team with her athleticism and excellent court vision that allows her to play strong at the net with her attacking and blocking abilities. She has the ability to do multiple things, run a variety of sets, and gives us another weapon on both offense and defense."
2020 (Freshmen): Played in 36 sets...recorded 46 kills at 1.28 kills per set, a .275 hitting percentage, and 24 blocks. Recorded a team high 10 blocks against Neosho County on March 4, 2021.
Before Cowley: Prepped at Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas. She helped lead her team to league titles her junior and senior seasons and also, in her senior season, led her team to the Arkansas 5A State Tournament where her team finished in second place. During her career, she was named All-Conference and served as team captain for the program. Morrison started as a setter and when the need arose to change positions she embraced it and made the move to middle hitter. Off the court, she joined a training program to increase her vertical, athleticism, and technique for the switch to middle hitter. She also joined the Saline County Chaos and 501 Volleyball club volleyball programs to enhance her skills.
