Bonomi named AVCA Two-Year College Player of the Week
Cowley College sophomore Laura Bonomi has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Two-Year Player of the Week after helping lead the Lady Tigers to a pair of wins last week, which helped Cowley set a school record for consecutive wins at 62.
Bonomi averaged 4.67 kills per set, 4.33 digs per set, and 1.33 aces per set and had a .479 hitting percentage. In the sweep of No. 2-ranked Johnson County, she recorded 12 kills and 15 digs, and she also had a double-double against Labette.
