Suied earns first-ever NJCAA DII Runner of the Week Award

It has been quite the start to the cross country season for Cowley College's Lubna Suied as the sophomore from Tomball, Texas was recently named the recipient of the first-ever NJCAA DII Runner of the Week Award.

Suied won the women's three-mile race at the season-opening Terry Masterson Twilight Classic September 4 in Hutchinson, KS. Her performance helped the Cowley College women's cross country team place second out of five teams.

Suied, a returning All-American, finished 20.1 seconds in front of runner-up Patricia Koma of Cloud County. Suied's time of 18:24.9 was the sixth fastest in school history.
