Laura Bonomi, Volleyball

With the fall sports season starting to heat up, Cowley College recently announced its August 2024 Female Athlete of the Month, volleyball All-American Laura Bonomi.

Bonomi is coming off an incredible freshman campaign in which she was named a NJCAA First Team All-American, AVCA First Team All-American, Volleyballmag.com All-American, Volleyballmag.com NJCAA DII Player of the Year, First Team All-District, First Team All-Conference, KJCCC Freshman of the Year, and was named to the NJCAA National Tournament All-Tournament team as Cowley finished as the NJCAA Division II national champions with a record of 41-0.

She has amassed over 600 kills in her career at Cowley and is currently leading the conference in kills per set (4.29). Bonomi has added four double-doubles in nine matches as the Lady Tigers are ranked No. 1 nationally with a record of 9-0.

The athletic training major has a grade point average of 4.0.
