Cowley lands four on All-Region baseball team

Winning 44 games and placing second in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division, the Cowley College baseball team had four players named All-Region selections.

Pitchers Kyler Zagar and Barrett Morgan were named First Team All-Region, while infielder Cade Baldridge and designated hitter Weston Thomas were named Second Team All-Region.

Zagar led the Tiger pitching staff by going 10-1 with a 2.77 earned run average. He struck out 73 and walked 17 in 65 innings. Morgan was just as dominant in the team's closer role, finishing 5-0 with four saves and an earned run average of 0.42. The righthander struck out 40 and walked four in 21 1/3 innings pitched.

Baldridge batted .328 with 10 home runs, 42 runs batted in, and 24 stolen bases. Thomas batted .308 with six home runs and 39 runs batted in. The duo combined for an on-base percentage of more than .450.
