In a matchup of two teams that played in last year’s national tournament, Wednesday night’s matchup between the host Cowley College Tigers and Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa Mavericks lived up to its billing as the game featured five ties and 19 lead changes before the Mavericks held on to defeat Cowley 77-72 in front of a raucous W.S. Scott Auditorium crowd.

Tigers knock off NOC-Enid in Jackson’s return to Cowley

After previously serving four years as an assistant coach at Cowley College prior to spending the past eight years at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa, Donnie Jackson made a triumphant return to Arkansas City as the Tiger men’s basketball team got past Northern Oklahoma College-Enid 62-55 Monday night inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.
