Mbengue named KJCCC Player of the Week

Averaging 29.5 points and 21 rebounds in a pair of victories, Cowley College sophomore Ndack Mbengue was recently named the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Mbengue, a 6'3" post player from Bergamo, Italy, recorded a double-double in Cowley's wins over Independence and Pratt. Mbengue finished with 22 points and 18 rebounds in the home win over Independence before scoring a career-high 37 points to go along with 24 rebounds in a road victory over Pratt.

She has grabbed 24 rebounds in a game twice this season and is averaging 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
