Lady Tigers erupt for 120-54 win over Pratt

The Lady Tigers, winners of three of its past four games, are now 12-6 overall and 7-6 in the Jayhawk Conference. Pratt (6-12) has lost six games in a row to fall to 1-11 in conference play.
On Wednesday, Cowley raced out to a 19-2 lead and never looked back in the 66-point victory.
"We kind of let ourselves down the other day, but we executed better tonight and created baskets for ourselves," Cowley head coach Todd Clark said.
The Lady Tigers scored 13 points off turnovers in the opening quarter as Cowley built a 33-11 lead.
Cowley would score the first 10 points of the second quarter and went 9-of-20 from three-point range in the opening half to lead 65-25.
The Lady Tigers continued to pour it on in the second half and led 91-38 after three-quarters of play.
Cowley hit the century mark on freshman Rafa Bergonso's three-pointer with 7:10 remaining, and all 10 players scored in the win.
Sophomore Elysa Martinez led six Tigers in double figures with 22 points, six rebounds, and five steals.
Alexcia Murphy came off the bench to record a double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds), and Bergonso added 18 points in 18 minutes of action.
Cowley out-shot Pratt 51 percent to 28.6 percent from the floor and scored 46 points off 31 Beaver turnovers. The Lady Tigers also hit 16 three-pointers in the victory.
Pratt's La'Kyra Johnson led all scorers with 26 points but also committed seven turnovers.
Cowley will attempt to continue its climb in the conference standings when they play at Seward County on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Lady Saints (13-6) are only one game in front of the Lady Tigers for fifth place in the Jayhawk Conference with a conference mark of 8-5.
"We have to play well and hope to continue to make shots," Clark said.
