Tiger tennis teams blast Weatherford College 9-0 in home opener

The No. 2-ranked Tiger men bounced back nicely from a 5-4 loss at Pratt as they did not drop a set in the 9-0 win over No. 11-ranked Weatherford.
The No. 4-ranked Lady Tigers were equally impressive in their win over No. 7-ranked Weatherford, losing only one set while winning for the fifth time in their past six matches.
"Both teams did really well on Saturday," Cowley head coach Marcel Miasato said. "With the wind, it was not an easy day to play tennis, but we were able to perform well."
The Tiger tennis teams have moved their home match against Barton Community College to Tuesday at 1 p.m. The Cougar men are ranked eighth, and the Barton women are ranked 13th.
