Following up an outstanding freshman season, Mr. Washington looks to capitalize on his success at the men's hammer. Origninally from local Winfield High School, Julien competed as a primary javelin thrower that later became a great young hammer specialist. Julien finished with a personal best of 53.06m (174'1") and a 6th place finish at the NJCAA Outdoor National Championship Meet with a toss of 51.60m (169'3").

The Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams recently traveled to Monroe, LA, for the 2024 Outdoor National championships to battle the nation's best in the junior college ranks as well as the heat and humidity of the south.

With 12 women and 11 men qualified to compete at the NJCAA Division I Track and Field Championships on May 16-18 in Monroe, LA, the Cowley College national qualifiers hope to fare well against a stacked field of competitors.

Showing their love and support for former Cowley College head track and field coach Mark Phillips, 18 schools participated in the second-annual Mark A—Phillips Track Invite on Saturday in Arkansas City.

With Cowley College freshman Victor Morfin winning the conference and region title in the high jump, the Tigers placed third in the Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division and fifth in the region while competing at the conference/region championships in Pittsburg, KS.

Coming off a pair of second-place finishes during last year’s indoor season, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams are eager to compete again for conference titles.
