A young and talented distance runner from Freeport. “Bahama Momma” has the leg speed to do the 800-meter but the strength to run a good 5,000-meter. The coaches are excited to see her develop even more as a runner and person.

Taking part in its largest meet of the season, the No. 2-ranked Cowley College women’s cross country team placed eighth out of 30 teams at the Chile Pepper Invitational held Saturday at the University of Arkansas.
The target will be a big one. The target on the back of the Cowley College women’s cross country team that is. One year removed from winning the NJCAA Division I National Championship, the Lady Tigers will have their work cut out for them in order to repeat as champs.
